Typewriters and Stories

There's just something about a typewriter and the clacking feel - and sound - that it makes. I'm not ashamed to say that I have 5 typewriters now. One is a workhorse, that I wish the ribbon would feed properly in so I could use it for all my writing (if there is anyone out there who could help?!). Two are electric - though one I don't typically use; it's from the late eighties and the ribbon can be annoying to buy. The other two, my blues ones, well, one needs to be cleaned and the other - it's been my go-to.
Not the point of this post.
All this to say is that while I don't need 5 typewriters, I love that I have them (they make great Halloween displays too) - and even more so - I love that my son is interested in them (mostly to hear the sound it makes and watch the letter press onto the ribbon).
The other day, he asked if he could write a story. So, he dictated and I typed it out. Once it was typed out, he drew his Beast and Ghost before asking me to draw it in ProCreate. So, here is his story:

Watching his mind think through and create different aspects of the story, it is amazing to watch. He's been obsessed recently with Beauty and the Beast, so he wanted to make something that reminded him of that story. I love that he is already creating stories - and that he likes to use my vintage typewriters (sometimes).
