I really dislike feeling like I am failing. Apparently, I just don't need to make "goals." Maybe I should be more relaxed, writing as I have time and getting editing done when I have time. Perhaps I can still make a "goal" of a schedule, but I definitely don't need to get upset every time I fall behind.
I'm Not Still
Even though I had hoped to be completely through editing The Lost Daughter by February and sent over to beta readers, but I hadn't completely finished adding in the additional chapters until recently.
So, now I'm editing The Lost Daughter - just lightly editing - before sending to the beta readers. Only a little over a year behind from the original goal.
I'm still Moving
I'm not stagnant. I'm editing, I'm teaching my now toddler (!) to sign (ASL), I'm constantly reading new YA books to stay current, and I've briefly outlined a couple of new book ideas.
And isn't that good? But best of all, I'm enjoying my writing.
